 | Liam was born on 21st September, 1972 in Manchester. Just like Noel Liam had a difficult childhood in Manchester. Liam and Noel's father left the family in 1984 and is not exactly on good terms with them. Neither of the brothers like to talk about him and in 1996 when he tried to contact them in Dublin, Liam got into a fight with him.
Liam quit school in an early age because he was bored. He got into the band (which was called Rain, then) at an early stage, the first he did was to change the name to Oasis.
Liam is the wild child of Oasis and an excellent frontman for the band, his big hero is John Lennon and he truly believes that John's spirit is living inside him!
Surely Liam is the bad boy of Oasis, and of the British music industry in particular. He has been charged for cocaine possession plenty of times and furthermore he is known for getting into fights.
After Liam was married to the actress Patsy Kensit, he has also become a parent (to Patsy's boy James from an earlier marriage) and he has changed a lot. He is now trying to improve himself, no more drugs and more responsibility. Patsy and Liam are now divorced.
Although he is not the songwriter of Oasis, he has written a few songs; Take Me (an early Oasis song which Noel wants to record properly, but Liam won't let him), Little James (a song about his stepson) and his best song to date Songbird.
Liam's current girlfriend is Nicole Appleton whom he has a child with.
